Contrary to what many agencies claim, ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) is not the gold standard it’s made out to be because attribution is inherently flawed. No two customer journeys are identical, and tracking every interaction across multiple platforms, devices, and timeframes is virtually impossible. Despite this, a lot of agencies lean heavily on ROAS as their headline metric—using it to inflate their impact and claim credit for the results generated by your other marketing channels.

Rather than obsessing over surface-level metrics, I focus on what actually drives your business forward: real, bottom-line results. That means looking at profit, revenue growth, customer lifetime value, and how all your marketing efforts fit together—because Meta Ads don’t operate in a vacuum, and neither should your reporting.​
